Do you know what we dislike about most Lion door knockers? They are made from cheap iron or pot-metals. They look cheap because they are made that way. Not this Lion knocker.

These Lion knockers are made from solid brass and they are made the old fashioned way. We pour molten brass into highly detailed sand cast molds - and then grind and polish the pieces by hand. The stems are made from solid brass and hand-turned. The wall mount screws are solid steel - just like they were made a hundred years ago.

This door knocker measures 5 1/4 inches across and it is also available in a larger version. This knocker has several mounting options. First, it can be mounted with a single top-mount machine screw (included). Another option is a side-to-side mounting with two machine screws (included) that have a 4 1/2 inch center to center distance. Alternatively, for maximum security, you may use all three rear mounting machines screws to secure this to your door.

The Lost Wax casting process insures a high level of detail. The lost-wax casting process, sometimes known by the French name of cire perdue is an ancient practice that is still used for artwork today and it is used to preserve the fine details of the original door components. This is available in Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Oil Rubbed Bronze, and Polished Chrome.

The average lead time of this particular product is 2 to 4 Business Days.
